Here’s a Masala Butter Croissant Sandwich, a fusion of classic French croissants and bold Indian flavors! This recipe combines the flaky, buttery goodness of a croissant with a spiced paneer (or chicken) filling, making it a perfect breakfast or brunch option.

Ingredients:


•    For the Filling:
o    200g paneer (or cooked shredded chicken)
o    1 tbsp butter
o    ½ tsp cumin seeds
o    ½ tsp garam masala
o    ½ tsp turmeric powder
o    ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)
o    1 small onion, finely chopped
o    1 small tomato, finely chopped
o    1 tbsp crème fraîche (or Greek yogurt)
o    ½ tsp salt
o    Fresh cilantro for garnish
•    For the Sandwich:
o    2 large butter croissants
o    1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for a French twist)
o    2 slices of cheese (Gruyère or Brie for a rich flavor)
o    ½ cup arugula or baby spinach

Instructions:


1.    Prepare the Filling:


o    Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
o    Sauté onions until soft, then add tomatoes and cook until they break down.
o    Add turmeric, garam masala, and red chili flakes. Stir well.
o    Crumble the paneer (or add shredded chicken) and mix.
o    Stir in crème fraîche and cook for 1-2 minutes until creamy. Season with salt.


2.    Assemble the Croissant Sandwich:


o    Slice the croissants in half. Lightly toast them in a pan with a little butter.
o    Spread Dijon mustard on the base (optional but adds a tangy kick).
o    Layer with cheese slices, then spoon in the masala filling.
o    Top with fresh arugula or baby spinach.
3.    Serve & Enjoy!


o    Close the sandwich and serve warm. Pair with masala chai or café au lait for a perfect Indo-French experience!
